Have you seen it?
Of course you haven't - the old, dilapidated marquee sign that was located on the north campus of West Central School District along Highway 34 has been removed!
We won't keep you in suspense-the old marquee has been removed to make way for the upcoming installation of a new, electronic marquee sign! Installation of the new marquee is scheduled to take place by May 15.
The new sign reflects the district's emphasis on communication with the community and pride in the studentsâ academic success and extracurricular participation.
The West Central Student Council spearheaded the fundraising campaign for a new marquee after the former Union and Southern districts consolidated three years ago.
Student Council members have worked to raise funds in various ways, including selling candy bars, sponsoring blood drives, selling West Central mugs, hosting a bake sale in conjunction with National Honor Society, and soliciting funds from area businesses and organizations.
We are now only $5,000 short of meeting our goal!
The Student Council members appreciate those who have already donated to the cause!
A complete list of donors will be published upon completion of fundraising efforts.
If you would like to make a contribution to the West Central School District Marquee Fund, please send your contribution to the high school office to the care of Student Council Marquee Fund.
The Student Council at West Central expressed their appreciation for your support of the West Central School District - Home of the Heat!
