Petersen Health Care officials announced that the Medicare Certification project is complete at La Harpe Davier Health Care Center. The La Harpe nursing home has updated its facility to comply with all current Medicare regulations.
The nursing home, which recently completed a lengthy certification process, is allowed to bill Medicare Part A for "Skilled" nursing and therapy services. "We are very excited to offer the Hancock County area another choice for their loved ones to qualify for Medicare Part A reimbursement", said Vice President of Operations, Cindy White.
Medicare Part A helps pay for inpatient care in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, hospice care and some home health care. "We previously served all other pay types including Medicare Part B; however, we often received requests for Medicare Part A that we couldn't previously accommodate. "We are thrilled we are now able to provide area residents with this valuable service." said Ms. White.
"Medicare certification is yet another effort to enhance our mission of caring for those in need, said Corporate Community Relations Director Trish Benson. "We try our best to be a good neighbor and contribute to the economy of the communities we serve. "Medicare certification has made a large difference to other certified facilities and communities within our company," Benson said.
