Meet your neighbor Amanda Carnes who has been employed for three years at Cole's Photography near Gladstone.
She was born and raised in Burlington, Iowa, where she resides. She graduated from West Burlington High School in 2002.
This summer she will begin classes at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa. in the Medical Assistant program.
Her parents are Cathy and Phil VanOver of West Burlington, Iowa. Her mom is a Registered Nurse at Great River Medical Center and her dad is employed at Wal-Mart in the meat department.
She enjoys being with her family, which is very important to her. She loves reading, shopping, movies, painting, and of course, photography.
When she was younger, her family would travel yearly to San Diego, California to visit with grandparents. They went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, the San Diego Chargers games and the Padre games.
A special memory for Amanda was when she was a Senior in West Burlington High School and went to the Burlington International Games, in Canada, for volleyball.
