Employees Celebrate 25 Years With
WIRC-Community Action Agency

Conny Calomiris and Jane Evans celebrated their twenty-five years of employment with the Western Illinois Regional Council-Community Action Agency in December.

Both Conny and Jane began employment with the Agency as Outreach/Intake Specialists in 1982 when the WIRC had just assumed the responsibility for several major community action related programs included energy, weatherization and emergency assistance. Both have worked in the field directly with clients assisting them in the completion of applications, resulting in individuals and families receiving the vital services they need. As a result of their work and effort, thousands of persons in this four county region have received assistance during their years of employment.

Executive Director Suzan Nash stated, "Because of the frontline work of staff such as Conny and Jane, this Agency has been able to make a difference in thousands of lives. Individuals and families have received essential services including food, clothing and shelter and the clients we serve have had no better advocates than these two hard working employees. They have worked tirelessly over the years on behalf of those who are less fortunate."

The occasion was celebrated with Conny and Jane each receiving a watch in commemoration of their 25 years of service.
