Meet Your Neighbor Brooke Simpson of Biggsville.
Brooke just recently opened her own styling salon, Illusions, on Main Street in Biggsville. Her shop is opened 5 days a week plus a half day on Saturday.
She was born in Burlington, Iowa, and raised in the Biggsville area.
She graduated from Union High School in 2000 and from Dayton's School of Hair Design in Burlington, Iowa, in 2007.
Her parents are Kenny and Rhonda (Shappell) Peterson of rural Biggsville.
Her dad, Kenny, does sub-contracting for Lowe's Home Improvement in Burlington, Iowa.
Her mother Rhonda, is a Registered Nurse for the Knox County Health Department in Galesburg.
Her grandparents are Red and Betty Shappell of Biggsville, and Gear and Lorraine Peterson of Stronghurst.
Brooke loves to ride horses and used to show them.
She also enjoys being outside, going mall shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Brooke recalls a special memory for her as they celebrated her grandparents (Red and Betty Shappell"s) 50th wedding anniversary when the entire family enjoyed a wonderful cruise to the Bahamas.
