When the Heat lost their November 29th game against Quincy, senior Ashley Coffey still had something to smile about. During that game she had scored her 1000th career point.
Coffey has been a standout on the Heat team throughout her high school career, and she has been the scoring leader so far this season.
Coach Jay Blender presented her with a decorated basketball at Monday night's game with West Hancock. Her souvenir ball is decorated with "1000 Points."
Ashley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Coffey of Carman.
