A 5/10k charity run/walk will be taking place in La Harpe this Saturday to help support others in their time of need.
Team C.R.O.S.S. (which stands for Christians Running to Overcome Significant Struggles) will be hosting this event with all of the proceeds going toward the La Harpe Christian Church High School Youth Group's effort to aid those still in need after the devastating hurricane, Katrina, hit the Gulf Coast.
This group started up as a group of friends that just enjoyed running and began running together, then decided to use their passion for running to help out others.
Again, the race will be this Saturday, April 26th, 2008 starting at 8 AM at the La Harpe Christian Church.
Registration for this event will be going on until 7:30 AM the day of the race with a fee of $15, which includes a t-shirt. In the event of inclement weather, race t-shirts can still be picked up that day at the La Harpe Christian Church.
