The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
The Quill traveled in December "07 with Ryan Anderson, formerly of Oquawka, to the island of Honshu, Japan. Ryan was there overseeing the manufacture of a new mining truck at a recently built Komatsu plant.
Ryan is in front of the train station in Hitachinaka in Ibaraki. Hitachinaka is a smaller Japanese town of about 175,000 on the Pacific Ocean northeast of Tokyo.
Ryan also included a photo (not shown) of a three story parking garage-for bicycles. Many people use bikes for transportation to work.
Ryan works for Komatsu America in Peoria as a Production Quality Engineer. He now lives in Washington, IL.
This was his second trip to Japan and was there to oversee the assembly of a new model mining truck.
When you go on a trip, take The Quill along and take a picture with it and send it to us. Let us see where all "The Quill" can go.
