Remembering

On Memorial Day, it is good to attend a service and pay tribute to our deceased men and women who served our country.

Sadly, La Harpe's program was cancelled after a heavy rain that morning, but next year, an alternative plan will be in place so a cancellation will not occur.

Around 100 alumni stopped by the La Harpe High School to sign a board that will be permanently displayed and to look through old yearbooks.

I took two of my granddaughters to the cemetery where we placed flowers on grandparents graves. I'm glad a burial was chosen rather than cremation, so we can take time to bring flowers and pause to remember their life in this special way.
