Lisa Howd
Meet Your Neighbor Lisa Howd of La Harpe.
Lisa was born in Burlington, Iowa, and attended grade school and high school in La Harpe.
After high school graduation, she attended the Bill Hill School of Cosmetology in Fort Madison, Iowa.
She is married to Jeff Howd who is employed at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg.
The couple have two children. Jo Ann Howd attends Western Illinois University, and Jacob is a seventh grader in La Harpe.
Lisa keeps very busy, not only as a mother, but for the last nine years has operated her own beauty shop First Impressions.
The services you can find at First Impressions, besides having your hair cared for, is tanning, manicures, pedicures, and waxing, plus you can also purchase a few gift items.
This summer the Howd family took a vacation trip to Alaska. They had a great time. Lisa recommends this trip to everyone.
She said, "the scenery was beautiful. The hardest thing for her, was "getting used to the 24-hours of daylight."
In her spare time Lisa likes to walk, read, and watch the Cardinal baseball games.
