Meet Your Neighbor Lyndsey Williams of Aledo.
Lyndsey is on the staff at West Central Middle School in Stronghurst as a first year science teacher.
She was born and raised in Moline. She graduated from Alleman High School in 1998 and from Western Illinois University, in Macomb, in 2007.
She is married to Brad and they have three children, McKenzie (9), Christian (6) and Braden (4). McKenzie and Christian attend Apollo Grade School.
Her parents are Melanie and Scott Verstraete. Her mom is a language arts teacher for the 7th and 8th grade students at Seaton High School and her dad is an administrator at Coolidge Alternative School.
Lyndsey has one sister, Megan, who is ten.
She enjoys nature walks, spending time with the kids and going to football games.
A memorable vacation was when the family visited Kennedy Space Center, this year, and were able to see the space shuttle, Atlantis, launch. They also visited Sea World and Coco Beach while in Florida.
