Meet your neighbor, Laurie Magee, who grew up in Muscatine, Iowa. Laurie is married to Darryl. Howard Kerfoot introduced her to him and that is how she ended up in La Harpe. She and Darryl have two sons, Eric, who is 21, and Kyle, a sophomore at La Harpe High School. They also have a cat named Sebastian. Currently Laurie has been substituting at La Harpe Elementary School. Laurie has also worked at La Harpe Davier Health Care Center. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, watching scary movies, shopping, and collecting Scooby Doo memorabilia. She was an assistant Boy Scout leader for several years also. She enjoys watching fifth and sixth grade boys and girls basketball. The only football Laurie watches on TV is the Super Bowl. She picks the team with the best looking uniforms to win the game, and she always seems to be right. Last year she went with the chorus and band to Six Flags in St. Louis. She remembers talking Melissa Schenck into riding the fastest roller-coaster there, Mr. Freeze. Laurie enjoys living in La Harpe very much because everybody is so friendly. |
