Meet your neighbor Vicki Burford, a lifelong resident of La Harpe and a 1972 graduate of La Harpe High School.
After high school Vicki attended Macomb School of Beauty Culture.
She has been a hairdresser for 34 years. She worked in Blandinsville for two years and La Harpe for four years before opening her own beauty shop at her home. She has owned and operated it for 28 years now.
Vicki has a son, Bryan, and a daughter, Brianne. She also has a six month old grandson, Maddox, whom she enjoys babysitting very much.
In her spare time she enjoys knitting and crocheting. In the summer she likes to work in the yard and garden. She attends Faith Christian Family Church and has been on the city council for ten years.
At the last City of La Harpe election Vicki ran for Alderman for the 1st Ward as a write-in and won. What a great accomplishment.
Vicki says she is glad to live in a community that is so caring and supportive.
