by Dessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher

This Saturday, May 5th, the dynamic singers Junior and Alisa Talley will be rocking and rolling in the Raritan Opera House as they bring their unique talents of song and impersonations of famous rock-n-roll idol Elvis Presley and romantic country singer Patsy Cline.

Their songs from the 50's and 60's, will take you back to happy days and nights.

Junior Talley has been performing what he entitles "The Illusions of Elvis" since 1991. He has been a world finalist in Memphis, TN where a yearly competition is held every August during Elvis Week. He also has been a regional winner of numerous contests over the country with his latest accomplishment being hired by Elvis Presley's "Rock n' roll" cafe' in August of "06 to perform shows for Elvis week.

Talley has other acts in his Legends show including his talented wife Alisa who performs a Patsy Cline Tribute, a Buddy Holly impersonator and a Blues Brothers act that has been with him for 7 years.

Talley has performed over 2500 shows. He and his crew work very hard to bring one of the best legend performances you will find.

His wife Alisa has been performing her "Reflections of Patsy" across the U.S. since 2004.

She says, "Patsy Cline is my all time favorite female singer! I have always wished to be on stage singing my heart out to anyone who would listen," Patsy said.

Alisa spent a lot of time with her grandparents growing up.

"They taught me what music was!

"I grew up listening to all the old country favorites of the 50's and 60's ," she said.

People around Alisa encouraged her to do something with her talents.

"I had to get over my shyness and singing to people who weren't "family" first.

"When I met my husband Junior Talley, my dream came true and here I am!"

Alisa says she is a tribute artist because she doesn't dress like "Patsy" or wear her hair just like her, but she tries to sound like her as much as she possibly can, and folks say she does.

"When I look into the audience and see people with their eyes closed and smiles on their faces, that is the best compliment that anyone could get," she said.

Alisa is 30 years old and "Patsy" was 30 when she died.

"My goal is to keep her name alive, and most of all her music. Most know her most famous 12-15 songs. I feel it is a privilege to sing those and the rest of her over 125 songs."

Alisa enjoys performing and making people feel good. She loves meeting people, and hopes to entertain for many years to come.

Her husband who performs Elvis can make people forget he is impersonating, as tears and screams come from the crowd.

The power of Elvis - the king of rock and roll - can still be seen through Junior Talley.
