Meet your neighbor Cindy Pollock, a Kindergarten teacher at La Harpe Elementary School. Before Cindy started teaching Kindergarten, she taught second grade for ten years, and also taught third grade for ten years. She began her teaching career in Salem, Missouri and taught there for two years. She grew up in Eminence, Missouri. Cindy likes La Harpe, but says she misses the clear rivers and the trees back in Missouri. She attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, majoring in Elementary Education and playing on the volleyball team. She has been the volleyball coach at La Harpe for 10 years, coaching junior high for ten years and high school for three. Cindy met her husband, Bruce, at the Eminence Trail Ride where she was working. They have been married for 23 years and have two daughters. Ashlin is a freshman at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, and Morgan is a sophomore at La Harpe High School. Some of her hobbies include watching the St. Louis Cardinals, attending sporting events, and traveling. She enjoys taking family vacations and says the best one was a cruise to the Bahamas. She is a member of the Union Church in La Harpe. |
