Meet Your Neighbor

by Jessica Boyle, Quill Reporter

Meet your neighbor and school board member, Tracey Anders, who was born and raised in La Harpe.

Tracey is married to Cindy and they have 3 children: Amber, who is the manager at the Buckle in Springfield, Jaden, who is a sophomore at Quincy University, and Trayton, who is 3 years old.

Tracey has been employed at Frito Lay as a sales representative for 8 years. He is a past president of the La Harpe Lions Club, and is a member of the Union Church.

He has also been the chairman of the Committee of Ten for the Convergence and the Transition Committee and is now President of the board for the newly converged school district, Illini West High School.

Tracey has been keeping very busy with the school board the past few months. The board just hired new Superintendent Mike Mauzy, and presently are interviewing for a principal. At their next meeting, Tracey and the board will be talking about adding portable classrooms onto the high school.

Tracey is sure everything will go smoothly and he is very excited for the new opportunities that the students will have at Illini West.

In his spare time, one of his hobbies is working outdoors in the yard. He also enjoys taking the family on vacations every year.
