Betsy graduated from Union High School in 1979. She was in the 2:2 program at Monmouth College attending Monmouth 2 years and Rush in Chicago for her remaining two years where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree.
She is married to Scott Cooper, her hubby of 21 years.
They have one son, Chris, 13 and a daughter, Maddy, who is 10. They both attend school in the West Central School District.
Bob and Kate McGraw, from Gladstone, are her parents. She has three older sisters, Donna Albin, and Patti Wood of Gladstone, Kathy Grafton of Stronghurst and one younger brother, Lewis of Oquawka, and several nieces and nephews.
Among the activities she enjoys is reading, antiques, bird watching and of course spending time with her family.
Their favorite family vacation spot is the mountains of Colorado.
