Meet Your Neighbor Mary Jacobs of rural Biggsville.

Mary was born in Burlington, Iowa, and raised in the Biggsville area.

She graduated from Biggsville Grade School and later from Union High School in 1982.

Mary's parents are the late Harry and Lillian Jacobs.

She has five brothers, Ronnie, Don and Steven who all reside in Alaska, Mike (Lisa) of Stronghurst and Richard of Biggsville; one sister, Karen, who is a nurse at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa; three nephews, three nieces, two great-nephews and three great-nieces.

She has two pets, one dog, Mickey (who is named after Mickey Gilley) and a cat, Lee Jr.

She is a true Chicago Cubs fan and when it comes to professional football, she'll be cheering on the Denver Broncos.

Mary loves board games, her favorite being Trivial Pursuit. She enjoys crossword puzzles, shopping, reading, and especially Laura Ingles Wilder books. She also loves spending time on her computer and looking up websites on tourism. Mary has traveled to 26 states including Alaska, Mexico and Canada.

Her favorite food is tacos.

Each August she travels to Missouri to watch the country shows in Branson. This year her brother, Richard, is taking her for her 44th birthday which is on August 22nd.

Her favorite TV show is, "Whose Line Is It Anyway" and her favorite actor is Jack Nicholson.

She loves people but has three special "best" friends, Patti Cook, Terri Minard and Steve Parks.
