La Harpe City Council Meets

July La Harpe Council Regular Board Meeting

The La Harpe City Council met for their regular meeting July 9, 2007, at 7:00 p.m..

All Aldermen except one were present. Motions were made and approved to accept the treasurer's report and pay bills.

The second reading of the amended Abandoned Vehicle Ordinance 660.20a was done and the third reading will be at the next council meeting, July 23. Anyone concerned with this issue should attend the next council meeting.

The sewer line for the Railroad is completed.

Applicants from the housing grant have been notified.

The water inspection has been completed.

Safety issues were brought before the council concerning electric scooters on the city streets.

There was concern about the obstacles on the sidewalk from the Masonic Lodge to Main Street.

Motion was made and passed to apply for a parade permit for Summerfest.

It was noted the city averages 3 tons of recycling per month. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m..
