Meet your new Quill Reporter Jessica Boyle, a sophomore at La Harpe High School during its final year.
She is a member of the Eagles softball team, playing center field and a class representative for the La Harpe Student Council.
Last fall Jessica had the opportunity to attend the Student Council Retreat and met the representatives from Carthage and Dallas City. During this retreat they brainstormed of ways to bring the students from the three schools together and participated in team building activities.
She is also an active member of the band, playing clarinet and accompanying the school choir on the piano.
This June, Jessica will be going to Disney World with "Illini West" band members. While there the band will be marching down "Main Street" in the Disney World parade.
Jessica is the daughter of Rodney and Sally Boyle and has one brother Fisher. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Vieva Pence, Mike and Kathy Boyle, and of Anne and Larry Mason.
In her spare time she enjoys playing the piano, hanging out with her friends, and watching movies.
Jessica will be writing the Meet Your Neighbor, Question of the Week, and a School Spotlight for the "Quill".
