New Office Manager

At Quill; Sears Retires

After 15 years of service in the La Harpe newspaper office of The Hancock County Quill, Eleanor Sears has retired.

Eleanor of La Harpe, began working part time at The Quill filling in for her sister Lucille (Bice) Rodeffer who was office manager for several years.

Then Eleanor took over Lucille's position when she retired to be with her husband and was in charge of collecting the news and subscriptions that came into the office and selling advertisements.

Eleanor plans on spending more time with her husband Clinton and with family members and says she will fill in when she is needed occasionally.

Reporter Holly Willdrick has moved into the Office Manager's position to be home more in the evening with her son and husband.

She will have the La Harpe office open Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and Thursday morning until noon.

The office is closed Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon through Sunday.

On days the office is closed and after hours, call forwarding sends all calls to the Stronghurst office. Copy and pictures can be mailed to P.O. Box 149, Stronghurst, IL 61480 or emailed to quill@hcil.net. The La Harpe phone is 217-659-3316.
