Meet Your Neighbor Judy Gaskill Of Oquawka. Judy is employed, part time, by Fisher's Food Center in Oquawka.

Judy started working at Fishers after retiring from Maytag in Galesburg. On Sundays you will find her helping out at Ballard's Auction Service.

She was born and raised in Monmouth; graduated from Monmouth High School in 1974 and attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg where she took several classes in computer programming.

She has one son, Jason Crane, and one daughter, Serena Crane.

She is the proud grandmother of two grandsons, Colyn (8) and Taylor (3) and two granddaughters, Brianna (9) and Corvette (6).

Her parents Roe and Vesta Davis are deceased.

Judy has three brothers, Danny (Debbie) Davis that live in Olney and their 4 children, Ronnie (Darla) who live in Monmouth and their 7 children; and 3 sisters, Kathy, who resides in Olney and her 4 children, Terry who lives in Monmouth, and Betty (Melvin) Munson who live in Monmouth with their one child.

Judy has fun bowling in the Henderson County Ladies League on Thursday nights, at Country Fun, and attending tournaments.

She enjoys most of all spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, fishing, and hunting deer with her best friend.

She has special memories of family vacations to Kentucky Lake with her husband and their friends, the Bakers.

On one occasion the guys challenged the girls to a fishing tournament, thinking they would out fish the gals. However, Judy won the tournament with a catch of a #10 catfish and a $10 bill. She has never been challenged since.
