STRONGHURST BAPTIST CHURCH: In the early history of the town a Baptist church was organized, but never was very strong in numbers.
What was lacking in members, however, was made up in enthusiasm and by dint of hard work and self sacrifice; a fine church building was erected in 1895.
A great number of the membership either died or moved away in the following years and finally the congregation disbanded.
