Bill Ross traveled to North Platte, Nebraska, to view the Veterans' Memorial along Interstate 80 and learn more about the North Platte Canteen. He met with George Lauby, Editor of the North Platte Bulletin, who has graciously shared stories and pictures about the canteen with the Henderson County Reads One Book 2007, Once Upon A Town: the North Platte Canteen by Bob Greene.
