Hotel Lynn in Biggsville is receiving a group for lunch on Saturday, April 14th and this time it is the Henderson County Republican Women's Club who are holding their first meeting of the year.
The program consists of the history of Hotel Lynn by Russell Liston, music, scholarship updates and the induction of new officers by outgoing President Julie Pence.
"All women of the county are encouraged to join the club," said Joyce Louden, who will be sworn in as club's new president.
"The Henderson County Republican Women's Club was formed on September 23, 1964 by Elaine Neff and Kathy Jacobs of Stronghurst with 136 charter members in eleven precincts. It was a very active club.
"We will be celebrating the club's 44th Anniversary at the meetings in 2008, and we hope to grow our membership in this upcoming year."
The 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. affair will enjoy a full-scale lunch at Hotel Lynn at $11.00 each with reservations needed by Friday, April 6th.
