Meet your neighbor, Larry Housewright, a lifelong resident of La Harpe, born in the La Harpe Davier Hospital. Larry would say his most favorite and important job is driving school buses. He is an activity bus driver and recently just took the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams to play in the state championship. The volleyball team honored him as their bus driver by giving him a State T-shirt that said "Bus Driver". They also invited him to be in some team pictures. Larry has worked "construction" since 1949. He helped develop La Harpe's "Park Lane" subdivision. He farmed for forty years and had worked at the Tastee Freeze at one time. He has one son, Scott, who lives in New York, and one daughter, Angela, who lives in Missouri, and has five grandchildren. In his spare time he likes to go and watch his granddaughter and grandson play soccer and baseball. Larry likes cars and at one time had five convertibles. His favorite NFL football team is the Colts and he is a Nascar fan. |
