'Life is not easy, but it is good.' That is a phrase I heard in a western movie some time ago.
A young lad had tragically lost his mom, and that was his dadıs response to his frantic and crying son.
The movie was filled with tragedy for the lad and that little phrase surprised me, and stays with me still.
But, I see so many times, when we are standing in the darkest times of our life, that if we only look up, out of the dark hole we are in, we will see the light of goodness shining all over the place.
Sometimes, it seems like the ones who go through the most hardship in life, have the best attitudes.
For one thing, we under estimate the people in our communities, if we let them in. So many caring hearts, like the farmers who take care of another farmerıs crops, and the people who drive a shut-in to and from the store or the doctor. The anniversary cards, get well cards, sympathy cards, and phone calls of concern that cheer us, are all good signs.
If you are at a place in life where you feel life has dealt you a hard blow, you are also probably at a place where you are surrounded by many blessings. Donıt fail to see them. Take hold of those blessings. Keep focus on them until one day, the pain you are feeling today, gradually diminishes, and you will again be able to say too, that life is good.
