Accountability

Today more and more people fail to take ownership.

Whether it is a paid for or a volunteer job, a public office, a marriage, being a good citizen or even being a good parent it seems there are people who do not want to be held accountable for anything.

Instead of taking responsibility for a child's action in school, it's the teacher or the school's fault. And that carries over with the child.

It's not their fault they turned out bad, it's their parent's fault. Excuses become a way of life.

We whine about our jobs, our pay, the government, the police, even the neighbors.

While we are fussing about everyone else, we are failing to be accountable. Let's take ownership in our share of the problem. Isn't it time we try to improve things? It's the way to insure a better future.
