Mothers Day Thoughts

To those of us who no longer have mothers physically with us, only in heart, it is hard for us not to have a way to express our love to this most significant women in our lives.

My mother died December 13th and Mothers Day would mark almost five months without her.

Yet, there really isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. She is like the air, a constant, and all of who I am, and who my grandchildren are, and my siblings.

But on Mothers Day, reasoning no longer works.

I received a Mothers Day package from my son and daughter-in-law from Oklahoma, and I thought of her. It was Harry and David cheeses, meats, fruits and chocolates, and I thought of her. She would have loved it.

Daughter and son-in-law Heather and Steve Wood had their first son, that brings us fifteen beautiful grandchildren, and I thought of her. How she would have loved to buy a new outfit for him, and hold him.

Then I bought flowers to send from Bygones and Buds and I thought how much she loved flowers. And Mothers Day articles are coming, and oh, how I miss her.

For you with Mothers, don't take it for granted. Celebrate the day in a big way. If your mother is gone, find a mother and celebrate her life to the world. :It's a good thing.
