Last Wednesday evening, I hurried to take photos of the firemen as they worked together to put out an LP burn during a large training session they had planned.
I could hardly stand the cold, yet over 80 firemen stood outside to train, to make sure they could improve the way they fight fires in as safe a way as they could.
The enthusiasm for their work and the ability to work together was evident as you watched the men at work.
I remembered our 9-11 salute on Veterans Day, November 11th, 2001 where we honored our "heroes" in our communities, and I felt that same way again, as I see how much constant effort they put into this volunteer job.
I just want to take this opportunity again, to thank our firemen, who are so diligent in training and in keeping the equipment and firehouse in ship shape. A firemen from Carthage told me, it was the largest training he had been to. Keep up the good work, and :be safe.
