Henderson County Board members have been discussing the economic growth that might be occurring soon around the county. According to one report, several new operations are wanting to set up business right here.

Now, that might sound good until you find out that the businesses is nine or more hog confinements that could be close to your home. Some people may be raising "a stink" over this plan and the county board members are left with the decision of what to do. Monday night, Andrea Zinga (Rep) running for Congress, said we should be asking, "What does it mean in jobs for the county and what does it mean for the county in economic development.' County locals have been working on a grassroots effort to monitor the movement saying Iowa managers want to move operations into Illinois due to a more relaxed OSHA environment. The county will need good attorneys to advise them in this situation.
