Meet Your Neighbor Shirley Kane
Shirley has been postmaster at the Biggsville Post Office for 27 years. She and her husband own and operate Kane's Repair Service.
She was born in Peoria and raised in Stronghurst.
Her parents are Dale and Mildred Anderson and she has two brothers, Paul and Peter.
She graduated from Southern High School in 1977.
She has been married for 27 years to Robert Kane. They have 3 sons, Joe, Adam and Brian; two daughters, Michelle and Melissa; two step-children Channon and Tracy; and 13 grandchildren.
She lives at rural Biggsville.
Shirley enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, flower gardening, playing the piano, relaxing and swimming.
She is a member of the Biggsville United Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Postmasters League.
