Meet your neighbors of La Harpe, Scott and Nicole Wetterling.
They moved to La Harpe to enjoy the small town life. Scott is from the Stronghurst area, the son of John and Rose Wetterling of Stronghurst, and Nicole comes from Macomb.
They met when Scott's friend asked him for some help moving a friend. That friend was Nicole.
They will celebrate their 10th Anniversary this coming February. As well as being blessed with ten years of marriage they have also been blessed with four children.
Stephanie is thirteen and is very active in basketball, softball, and track.
Donnie is eight and keeps them busy with baseball, golf, soccer, and basketball.
Daniel who is seven likes swimming, baseball, and gymnastics.
Dylan is the youngest at age five and he loves soccer and football.
Scott is a graduate of Southern High School and served in the U.S. Navy for four years aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. He was in the aviation ordnance department that was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.
Scott now works at WIU in the heating plant. He loves spending time with the kids and is a big fan of the Bears, Cubs, and Illini. He also looks forward to their movie night every Friday night.
Nicole is employed at McDonough District Hospital in the admitting department as a phlebotomist. In her free time she likes to cook and do crafts such as sewing and scrapbooking.
They are active members at the Abundant Life Church, La Harpe.
