Answering roll call Monday evening at the La Harpe City Council meeting were Irish, Lovell, Helmers, Bennett, Burford, Carpenter, Neff, and Clerk Carol Stevens, and Mayor Kenny Brown. Also, attending were Chris Biddle and Danny Gillett.
After the Treasurer's report and paying of all bills was approved, council members agreed to continue their search for a solution to the burned building on Main Street.
The approval for a monetary grant from WIRC for those who qualify for home improvements continues to be favorable. A final decision from WIRC of acceptance for the grant should be sometime in December.
Danny Gillett attended the Economic Development meeting on November 16 at Carthage and gave a brief summary of the events of the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. The next meeting will be at the city hall Monday, December 11, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
