You may have noticed there are new decorations on Main Street just in time for our Annual Christmas Open House and Parade.
The La Harpe City Council and the Golden Rule club worked on this project to select the decorations and secured financial support from the La Harpe Economic Development Association, City of La Harpe, La Harpe Telephone Company and First State Bank of Western Illinois.
Currently the existing decorations were each replaced with a new wreath. In the future we would like to extend the decorations farther on both East and West Main Street.
If you would like to donate to the Christmas Decoration Fund to be used to purchase additional decorations and to maintain our current ones, you may leave your donation at the First State Bank of Western Illinois.
The committee appreciates the city employees, Wayne Humphrey, Jason Torrance, Tim Graves and Roger Hughes for their efforts in getting these decorations up each year.
