This year the Golden Rule Club has chosen to honor the pastors in our community as the Grand Marshals for the La Harpe Christmas Parade.
Bruce Goettsche has been the pastor at the Union Church for almost 25 years. He and his wife Maggie have also been married 25 years and have two children, Rick and Rachel.
Darren Beachy came to La Harpe from Southern Maryland this year and is the current pastor at the Christian Church. His wife Dede and three daughters, Deanna, Darci, and Danielle are enjoying the small town life.
Louis Bolding opened the doors of the Agape Church 7 years ago in his own living room. Louis and his wife CJ just celebrated 10 years of marriage and renewed their vows. Louis has 12 children with four still at home and 5 grandchildren.
Diane Bigley has been the pastor at the La Harpe, Durham, and Terre Haute Churches since 2004. She lives in Colchester with her husband David, who is also a pastor, and son Noah.
Jim Clayton is the new pastor at the Abundant Life Church and comes to La Harpe from the Rushville area. He and his wife Jeanne have been married 20 years and have two daughters Jenna and Rachel.
The Christmas Parade will be on November 25th at 3:00 pm. That is also the Christmas Open House for La Harpe businesses, so come to the parade, visit local businesses, and do some Christmas shopping.
