Meet your Raritan neighbors, Elma and Eugene Hobby.

Elma is an outreach worker for the Henderson County Health Department for the Southern part of Henderson County. She enjoys gardening in her spare time.

Elma graduated from La Harpe High School in 1947.

Eugene was born at La Harpe Hospital about 1 mile from where they have lived for 50 plus years.

Eugene graduated from Media High school in 1947.

On June 5, 2006 Elma and Eugene will be married 59 years

They have three children, Coni, teaches and works at W.I.U. Ron is a farmer who has built a home 1/2 mile from his parents, and Rick who lives in Harlan, Iowa.

They have 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

They have lived on the farm since 1954, 3 miles south and 1/2 mile east of Raritan.

They enjoy working with the elderly of the county.
