Meet Your Neighbor June Livermore, another member of the Raritan community. June is a retired teacher who started her teaching career in 1946, retiring as an aide in 2003. She was born in 1928 in McDonough County to Howard and Mabel Torrance Cleland, both deceased. She graduated from Media-Wever High School in 1945 and attended Western Illinois University. June married Max Livermore in January 1948. He passed away in March 1996. She has 2 daughters, Jean Anne Livermore of Raritan and Betty (Avery) Mynatt of Stronghurst; 2 grandchildren; Jessica and Mark Mynatt. She is one of 9 children, Dale, Donald, John, Elgie, Jim, Margie, Betty and Helen (deceased). June lives in Raritan where she has been a lifetime resident shortly after birth. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. And she especially enjoys attending Relay for Life (as cancer survivor), and helping with the Raritan Sesquicentennial Committee . She also proofed the reprint of the cookbook for the Raritan Sesquicentennial. |
