West Central's Theresa Brokaw won the 1600 meter run in a time of 5:14.77 during the Jacksonville Invitational on March 10th and 11th.
Theresa beat Katelyn Bastert of Carthage, whose time was 5:35.15. It was the first time in two years Bastert has been beaten in a track final race of any distance in competition.
Brokaw also placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:24.70.
West Central placed 5th in team standings.
Rachel Jack finished first in the 55 meter hurdles at 9.22, with Brandie Lindo fifth at 9.80 and Amber Mann ninth at 11.11.
The girls 4x200 took fourth place with a time of 1:58.00.
In the high jump, Miriam Rutzen placed second at 5-02 and Brandie Lindo took sixth at 29-3 1/2.
In the long jump Laura Hoover placed 13 at 13-09.50 and Shana Perry 19th at 12-08.25.
Miriam Rutzen placed 4th in the girls triple jump at 29-3 1/2.
In the 55 meter dash, Amber Mann placed 24 (8.65); Shayna Perry 27th (8.80) and Ciara Robinson 36th (9.77).
In the 200 meter dash, Miriam Rutzen placed 6th (28.84) and Laura Hoover 19th (31.00).
