Meet Your Neighbor Steve Crawford of Stronghurst, born and raised in Burlington, Iowa.
Steve graduated from Burlington High School and enlisted in the U.S. Marines, serving at Camp Pendleton, California, North Carolina and the last two years in Hawaii.
After his honorable discharge in 1983, Steve was hired at Riley Paint in Burlington. He has worked for this family owned business for 22 years working with computers, making paint, packaging and shipping it. In 1991, Steve married Laura Hicks of Stronghurst and the couple lived in Burlington. In 1994 they moved to Stronghurst. Laura is an LPN at Great River Medical Center and is involved in Girl Scouting
They have two daughters at West Central, Shelby, an 8th grader and Shauna a 6th grader.
Steve enjoys golfing and being with family including his daughters sports, music and other activities.
