Nathan Wever, who owned some land along the line of the Santa Fe Road in 1888 laid out and platted the town of Media at tis present location and by 1902 it had attained a sufficient population so that it could be incorporated under the general incorporation law.
It is not so large assome of the other towns of the county, but done quite a large shipping and grain business as well as mercantile business.
