Those answering roll call at the La Harpe City Council meeting were Irish, Lovell, Helmers, Bennett, Burford, Carpenter, Neff, Stevens, and Brown.
Also attending the meeting were Justin Livingston, Erek Krekel, Darrel Kraft, Wayne Humphrey, Dan Gillette, Tim Graves, and Richard Rasmussen.
After the treasurer's report and all bills were approved to be paid, it was reported that the annual city audit will begin on June 20.
Paperwork is completed for assistance in the removal of the building on Main street, and the council continues to wait for response in receiving grant money.
It was approved to accept the Prevailing Wage Ordinance 2006-5.
Danny Gillette thanked the council for money given to the Economic Development committee. He is representing LaHarpe and Hancock county with the "Looking for Lincoln" brochure.
Graves requested a new computer printer for the city shed to be used for his required reports. The current printer is not working. He also requested purchasing a chemical feeder for $500.00 for the water plant. Lovell made the motion and Helmers seconded the motion to go ahead with the purchase.
A sidewalk replacement bid that was presented was approved.
A bid was received for the landscaping at each "Welcome to La Harpe" signs that are situated on the edges of the city. The cost was higher than expected. Lowering the cost will be considered.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m. The next meeting will be held at the City Hall June 26th, at 7 p.m.
