Meet your neighbor Mike Pence. Mike was sitting back with his wife, Carla, enjoying their daughter's softball game at the Stronghurst ball diamond.
Mike lives in rural Lomax and has been a lifetime resident of the area. He graduated from Dallas City High School in 1982 and is employed by Case/New Holland in Burlington, Iowa.
He also farms for himself and with his father Hugh Pence.
He really enjoys being outdoors and enjoys outdoor activities including fishing and hunting.
He and his wife have three boys and a girl. Two older sons Curtiss Ott and Brett Pence attended school at Dallas City High School. Kyle Ott was a 2004 Southern High School graduate, their daughter Hillary Pence will be an 8th grader at West Central this fall. She is keeping them busy with summer sporting activities Mike said.
