Stronghurst Village Board Meeting - Stronghurst To Host City Wide Garage Sale June 24th

Saturday, June 24th, has been chosen by the Stronghurst Village Board as the date for City Wide Garage Sales in Stronghurst. Angela Myers is in charge of the event.

The village received an Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Development Grant in the amount of $300,000. The grant will be used to fix up low income homes for those who qualify.

The new ordinance books were passed out to all trustees.

Peterson's Brothers received the bid for doing curb and gutter work at Security Savings Bank.

The "Clean Up Committee", Lawrence Neff and Angela Myers will be touring the village on Wednesday, June 14th at 6:30 p.m.

The Henderson County Sheriff's report included: arrests for failure to report an accident, disobey stop sign, 4 illegal consumption by minor offenses, a traffic offense and a criminal trespass to residence.

Present were: President Eric Chockley, Trustees, Lawrence Neff, David Vancil, Cory Fox, Juanita Jarvis, and Angela Myers, Clerk Lori Russell, Treasurer Lou Ann Nortrup, Deputy Steve Henshaw, Employee, Tony Anderson, and guest Bob Hamilton. Trustee, Tony Griepentrog was absent.

The board adjourned at 7:50 pm. until the next meeting on Monday, July 10, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall.
