Robert Kelley acquired his insurance license 10 years ago from the State of Illinois and purchased the business from Bill Shaw of Dallas City, moving it to Carthage.
They are located at 531 Main Street and are open Monday-Thursday, 8:30 to 4:30 and Friday, 8:30 - 5:00.
Robert also offers Saturday appointments for those that can't make it in during the week. "With hard work and long hours we have been able to increase our policy count and maintain a respectable business."
Robert sells American Family Insurance in life, health, property, casualty and business lines. "I understand the needs that people have and can help them protect their assets and preserve their income and estates from a financial or catastrophic loss." He also likes being able to help his clients when they have a loss and being able to help them get back on their feet.
Robert and his wife Amy of 20 years have two children, Lance 11 and Lyndsay 13.
Aside from being a full time wife and mother Amy has also been Robert's loyal business manager since the opening in January of 1996.
In Robert's free time he likes to go camping, swimming, bicycling, beading, ATV trail riding, and Motor-cross racing. He is also an active member of the Cathage Kiwanis Club, Walk for Life Supporter, Middle Creek MV Raceway Promoter, MDH Supporter, and an attendee of the First Baptist Church.
