West Central Principal Dale Buss To Compete In Scouts' Munch-Off
West Burlington, IA - Girl Scouts of Shining Trail Council is hosting the second annual Cookie Bake-Off & Munch-Off on Saturday, January 7, from 1-4 p.m.
The Westland Mall in West Burlington will be transformed into the Institute of Cook-E-Ology as Girl Scouts from Shining Trail Council become experts in the sweet science of cookie fun.
Girls will learn selling tips and safety rules and do experiments and crafts related to this year's "Be Brilliant" science theme.
Several troops are competing in the Cookie Bake-Off to determine who can make the most delicious dessert with Girl Scout cookies. At 3 p.m. the winners will be announced.
Immediately following will be the Cookie Munch-Off in Center Court. The public is invited to cheer on local "celebrities" as they compete to see who can eat the most Girl Scout cookies in 2 minutes! Contestants are:

Brian Mendez - 4th grade Teacher at Richardson Elementary School., Fort Madison High School Cross Country Coach, and events DJ
Mark Adams - Language Arts Teacher at West Burlington High School, West Burlington
Jan Logan - Substitute for Burl., W.B., F.M., & Danville, and Former SCC V.P. for Human Resources
Melissa Warner - Events Coordinator for Fun City, Burlington
Jennifer Herrick - Super Cool Brownie Leader for Troop #3, West Burlington

Everyone is welcome to enter the drawing for free boxes of the latest Girl Scout cookie creation - the Cafe Cookie. Watch for Girl Scouts selling cookies in your area January 14 - February 5.
