Meet Your Neighbor

By Holly Palmer Willdrick/The Quill

Meet your "little" neighbor, Carissa Richardson.

Carissa is the daughter of Brad and Jenny Richardson. She is eight years old and has two younger brothers Brock and Max.

Many of you may know Carissa as the little girl that sold you girl scout cookies. She sold an amazing 650 boxes of cookies this year, almost double what she sold last year.

She did have a little help from dad and grandma, who took her order form to work, but she got most of her orders by walking door to door.

Now that it is time to deliver them she has help from little brother Brock. So far they have worked three days on getting the cookies out, but still have more to deliver. So if you ordered from Carissa, be patient and she will get them to you, she is just a little busy.

Carissa said her favorite cookie was "Thin Mints". This year the scouts will use the money raised to put on a fashion show for their grandparents.

She plans on having a large cheering section at the show. She is the granddaughter of Eric and Cathy Palmer, Roger and Kathy Bousman, Tim Schaefer, and Jerry Richardson. Great grandparents are Boyd and Joy Palmer, Karl & Marietta Schaefer, Ed and Kathreen Symmonds, and Norma Lair. When not busy with girl scouts Carissa enjoys playing soccer and softball with friends and attending dance at Graham's Dance.
