Bald Bluff Township: Noted for the highest bluff in the county facing the Mississippi River, became the home of Moses Cowan in 1836.
John P. Robinson, Isaiah Willetts, Dr. Thomas Willets and James Fullerton arrived shortly thereafter. James Halsey, Charles and Luther Watson came in 1842 followed by William R. Green in 1851.
James Heaton in 1852 and John and Moses Cooper came to the county that same year locating first in Rozetta and John later moving to Bald Bluff.
