The 8th Annual Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show winners have been released for publication. There were over 400 Cars, trucks, or motorcycles on display Saturday, August 5th in La Harpe.
One of the organizers La Harpe Mayor Kenny Brown, said, "We were down a little in entries, but the quality was really impressive. We did have 13 states represented, sold over 800 shirts, and will be able to give to the scholarship again this year."
Brown credits the success of the 2006 Gibb show to the 42 helpers on grounds this year.
A lot of help from around the area is the only way a venture this large can succeed.
"Bob Lionberger, Jerry Burford, and myself along with the Fred Gibb family really appreciates everyone who helps and who participates in our annual event in memory of one of our community's leaders. We have already begun work on next year's show."
