The preseason practices have wound down, and it's time for some football. The season opener for the Heat will be this Friday, August 25 when they travel to Pittsfield.
The Heat offense will open with Brad Buss (6' 185 Jr.) at center.
At the guard positions will be Dusty Chandler (6' 247 So.) and Josh Harkness (5'11 250 Jr.).
At the tackle positions will be Brady Smith (6'2 230 Jr.) and Dan Crum (6' 200 Sr.)
Manning the ends will be Dalton Chandler (6'3 190 Jr.), Calvin Covert (6'8 195 Sr.), Ryan Shaner (6'2 210 Jr.), Heath Bundy (6' 175 Jr.), and Cameron Hartman (6'2 170 Sr.).
At the halfback positions will be Andy Chockley (6' 175 Sr.) and John Livermore (5'8 180 Jr.).
At fullback the Heat will use Cody Lane (6' 200 Sr.) and Brent Blender (5'10 215 Jr.).
At quarterback the Heat will start Adam Smith (5'9 145 Sr.) and back him up with Drue Waterman (5'11 160 So.)
On the defensive side of the ball, the Heat's down linemen will be Jason Sams (5'11 284 Sr.), Dakota Pullen (6'3 273 So.), Andy Gaddis (6'1 265 Jr.), James Spiker (6' 195 Sr.), Cody Lane (6' 200 Sr.), and Brady Smith (6'2 230 Jr.).
At defensive ends the Heat will have Cameron Hartman (6'2 170 Sr.), Calvin Covert (6'8 195 Sr.), and Derek Kindig (5'6 180 Jr.).
At the linebackers for the Heat will be Ryan Shaner (6'2 210 Jr.), Dan Crum (6' 200 Sr.), Brent Blender (5'10 215 Jr.), Dalton Chandler (6'3 190 Jr.) and Andy Chockley (6' 175 Sr.).
The secondary will be manned by Bill Blakley (6'1 145 Jr.), Adam Smith (5'9 145 Sr.) and Ross Bigger (5'10 160 Sr.).
The team and I appreciate everyone who came out for the film scrimmage last Saturday evening. We appreciate your backing, and hope many of you can make the trip down to Saukee Country (Pittsfield).
